Meek Mill is giving some aspiring Philadelphia folks the opportunity to learn under the tutelage of professional athletes and entertainers as part of his Sports & Entertainment Summit taking place later this month. The MMG rapper recently announced the event via his Twitter page. According to the event’s website, the function will, “bring together some of the biggest names in both sports and entertainment to discuss everything from chasing dreams successfully to what it takes to make it in the industry as an athlete, musician, entrepreneur and business executive. The infusion panel will focus on “dream chasing” and looks to ignite the spark in all generations to go after their goals, no matter what those goals may be.”
Proceedings on tap will include panel discussions, interactive experiences and a live concert. Master P, Philadelphia Sixers’ Thaddeus Young as well as Cleveland Cavaliers point guard, Dion Waiters are the first celebrities to be announced as participants. There will be approximately 30+ other panelists who will be revealed by Meek in the upcoming days.
The Summit will take place on August 30, 2013 from Noon-7:00 p.m. EST at the Temple Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia. Interested parties can purchase tickets from the website tomorrow for one (sports or entertainment) or both summits.
